It's been quite a week in Zach's world. Monday's respite was cancelled due to the floods so we had a trundle around the village. Tuesday's visit from Grandma and Grandad had to be cancelled due to floodwater :0(. On Wednesday we had a visit from our physiotherapist who is pleased with Zach's development and has lent us a chair for him to play in (see picture in locked post). On Thursday we had a trip to the Doctors to get some different drops for Zach's sticky eyes and then a quick look around the new Sainsburys in Wantage. On Friday we went to a ROSY Parent Support Group meeting at Cornbury Park on the other side of Oxfordshire. Fortunately we managed to get there without running into any floodwater and in good time. We met other parents and children as well as Lady Rotherwick and had tea and biscuits. It was all very civilised.Cornbury Park is beautiful: http://www.cornburypark.co.uk/index.phpIt's likely we shall be going back once a month. At various points during the week TOYS arrived for Zach including a rather swish cot mobile (see pictures in locked post) which makes Zach's bed look more like a play area than anything else - if only he would stay in it for longer! On Saturday we went for a walk at Farmoor Reservoir and saw the ducks! Today (Sunday) we shall be conducting another feeding experiment - removing Zach's tube at lunch time and then feeding him without it (ie by bottle) until Monday afternoon when our Community Nurse will be here to help me put it back again. Wish us luck as this is going to be a very trying 24 hours! Note: Locked posts(ie. those with pictures) will be only be visable to those of you with a livejournal who have asked to be on the friends list. Joining Livejournal is free and easy to do with no ongoing commitment to blog if you don't want to. This means that I can restrict who sees pictures of Zach and they are not freely available on the internet.
